Preconditioned Air Equipment

Cooling & Compressed Air Carts

JBT have developed one of the most adaptable and versatile ranges of air products in the world “JetAire”. Whether you’re working with fighter, cargo, or specialty military aircraft, JBT provides units that target the practical demands of military air support.

JetAire® Conditioned Air

Flexibility in application with dependable performance from the JetAire family of defense conditioned air units. Our JetAire defense conditioned air models are capable of supplying conditioned air to a broad range of defense fighter and cargo aircraft, at extreme ambient conditions, across a wide spread of temperature, flow, and pressure output combinations. JetAire units – defense tough, air-transportable, with models for nearly any type of fighter, cargo or specialty aircraft.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

  • Diesel powered, cart mounted for ease of use across the tarmac
  • Air transportable for conditioned air where you need it
  • Pressures:  2 – 38 kPa depending on model
  • Flows:  40 ppm (18 kg/min) to 600 ppm (272 kg / min) depending on model
  • Refrigeration tons:  45 – 110 tons depending on model
  • Ambient conditions up to 140ºF (60ºC) for some models

JetAire® Large Aircraft Cooler (LAC)

Suitable for cooling large transport and specialty defense aircraft, the JetAire Large Aircraft Cooler (LAC) is an air-transportable, diesel powered, trailer unit capable of supporting C-17, C-130, A400M, P8, E7, and similar aircraft.  Ruggedized to defense standards, the JBT LAC is an ideal addition to your AGE fleet for supporting larger defense aircraft.

The LAC is designed to support a diversity of aircraft and therefore operates across an extraordinary range of outputs for service in even extreme environments.  Easy to operate and maintain, the JBT LAC is controlled by a single PLC and HMI housed in an EMC screening control box.  The HMI is intuitive in function, displaying graphics of aircraft types, unit performance, engine performance, comprehensive readout of faults and extensive maintenance screens.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

Mobil MAGG

Easy to Transport, Easy to Use

Mobil MAGG is a combination pre-conditioned air unit and 400 Hz ground power unit designed to fit in the volume of about one-third a standard ISO container.  The unit is designed to service the Gripen fighter and others in extreme cold environments.  Using utility power or power from a diesel generator, the Mobil MAGG is ready to ship anywhere, anytime supplying the conditioned air and power you need for your defense fighters.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

Pre-Conditioned Air (PCA)

The Pre-Conditioned Air (PCA) system produces high-pressure, chilled air to keep avionics on the aircraft cool while 400 Hz power is applied.  The module utilizes both a refrigerant direct-expansion system and a custom-designed, glycol air-to-air heat exchanger.  Two outputs provide cooling for up to two aircraft simultaneously and each feature a manually actuated valve.  A unique design element is the secondary glycol cooling system for use in extreme cold-weather conditions — when the direct-expansion module would be severely degraded (below 14⁰F).
